Parameta Terrace is a cycling course project composed of reconfigurable modular cycling units called Parameta Track.
The project was developed through a fully integrated process encompassing planning, digital design, and construction.
It can serve as a practice course for beginners learning to ride a bicycle, or as a challenging terrain-based track where riders must engage their sense of balance and adapt to changing topography. The project has been realized in two forms: a temporary pavilion for events and a permanent installation for cycling facilities.
Concept
Parameta Terrace was conceived as an apparatus that reconstructs the relationship between the body, vehicle, and terrain within both urban and natural contexts. Through the use of parametric design and modular fabrication, it visualizes and materializes the rhythm and correspondence emerging between human movement and spatial environment.

概要
「パラメタテラス」は、組み換え可能な自転車コース・ユニット「パラメタトラック」で構成された自転車コースのプロジェクトです。企画、デジタル設計、施工までを一貫して行いました。
路面は木製で、直線や曲線に加え、勾配や道幅が変化するユニットを組み合わせることにより、無数のコースレイアウトを生成することができます。これにより、身体感覚を通じて空間を構築・再編することを可能にします。
このコースは、初めて自転車に乗る人のための練習用コースとしても、地形に対応しながらバランス感覚を駆使して走る変則的な体験型コースとしても機能します。設置形態として、イベント会場での期間限定パビリオン型と、施設常設型の二つのバリエーションがあります。
制作意図
「パラメタテラス」は、都市空間や自然環境のなかにおいて、人と乗り物、身体と地形との関係を再構築する装置として構想されました。パラメトリックデザインによる可変的な構造体を用い、身体と環境のあいだに生まれるリズムと関係性を体験的に可視化することを目指しています。
